Privacy policy
How DSDP Services Pty Ltd handles personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to DSDP Services Pty Ltd (ABN 90 703 605 412, ACN 703 605 412), a company registered in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us", "our"), and to the website at dsdpservicestec.online. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What personal information we collect
We collect only what we reasonably need to respond to enquiries and deliver our services. Depending on the work, this may include:
- your name, email address and any contact details you provide;
- whether you are enquiring for a business or a household, and the business name where relevant;
- the content of your messages and the tasks you ask us to help with;
- information contained in documents, correspondence or records you give us access to in order to carry out agreed work.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) unless it is necessary for a task you have asked us to perform and you have consented. You may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general enquiries, although we will usually need your name and email to provide a service.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, mainly when you email us at ceo@dsdpservicestec.online or use the enquiry form on our contact page, which opens your own email program. We may also receive information from third parties, such as suppliers or trades we coordinate on your behalf, where that is part of the agreed work. If we receive unsolicited personal information that we do not need, we will destroy or de-identify it where lawful and reasonable to do so.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a written scope of work;
- carry out administration, coordination and service delivery tasks you have engaged us for;
- communicate with you about the work, fees and invoices;
- keep business records and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for direct marketing without your consent. If we ever send you marketing, you can opt out at any time.
5. Disclosure to others
We disclose personal information only where it is needed for the purpose it was collected, for example to a supplier or trade we are booking for you, or to service providers who support our business such as email and file-storage providers. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or with your consent.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the email and cloud-storage services we use may store data on servers outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps in line with APP 8 to ensure those providers handle the information consistently with the APPs.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need it to do the work. When information is no longer needed for any purpose permitted under the APPs and we are not required by law to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
8. Cookies and website data
This website is a simple static site. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not set cookies of its own. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information, such as IP addresses and request times, in server logs for security and reliability purposes.
9. Access and correction
Under APPs 12 and 13 you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Email ceo@dsdpservicestec.online. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing, unless it would be unreasonable to do so.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, please email ceo@dsdpservicestec.online with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
